In response to the FUTA decision to withdraw from 2011 G.C.E. A/L evaluation process, Examinations Commissioner Anura Edirisinghe said the issues faced by FUTA would be solved by the time of G.C.E. A/L evaluation process begins and he expected that the academics would revert their decision to join the process.
The G.C.E. A/L examination 2011 is scheduled to commence on August 08. The Federation of University Teacher’s Association (FUTA) said that they were planning to inform the Examination Commissioner regarding their decision to withdraw from the evaluation process.
The FUTA is currently engaged in talks with the government to resolve issues pertaining to salaries.
