Federation of University Teachers’ Association (FUTA) said that they will not withdraw from any of the trade union actions since their demands were not positively received at the discussion held with the President last evening.
"The President acknowledged and accepted the salary issue of academics. But no decision was made with regard to solving the issues," FUTA President Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri said speaking to Daily Mirror Online.
Speaking further Dr. Dewasiri said that another meeting between the President and members of the FUTA is scheduled for June 3rd. (Lakna Paranamanna)
