We have learnt from the FUTA president Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri that a group of people identifying themselves to be attached to the Ministry of Defense have inquired about Dr. Dewasiri and his family from his neighbors.
The FUTA is taking necessary legal action to ensure Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri and his family's safety.

Dr. Nirmal Dewasiri has lodged a complaint with this regard at the Maharagama police and the FUTA has written to the Ministry of Defense and the IGP requesting that immediate steps be take to ensure his and his family's safety. Further to this the AFTU-CU has also requested the above authorities to ensure their safety.
